According to the Chelyabinsk Central State Medical University - a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Ural State Medical University" in the territory of Chelyabinsk:
- On February 11-12, 2024, in the Chelyabinsk region, weather conditions promoting the accumulation of pollutants were observed in the ground layer of the atmosphere. Due to weather conditions unfavorable for the dispersion of impurities, a first-degree warning was announced.
During the period of operation of the NMU, LLC ChKhZ Oxide took all necessary measures to reduce emissions of pollutants into the air, namely:
1. Stopping the melting furnace
2. Stopping the operation of one of the two packaging dispensers
The effectiveness of measures to reduce pollutant emissions during the onset of emergency conditions reaches 100%.
